PURPOSE: Carboxyl perfluoro polyether is capable of giving oleo-repellent property to paper and having excellent holding ability in wet-end treating. CONSTITUTION: Perfluoro polyether for oleo-repellent paper sizing contains fluoro polyoxy alkylene chain(formula I) having 500-10000 of average molecular weight. The formula I is T-O-Rf-T, wherein T is -CF2-CHOOH or -CF2CF2-COOH; Rf is (CFXO), (CF2CF2O), (CF2CF2CF2O), (CF2CF2CF2CF2O), (CR4R5CF2CF2O), (CF(CF3)CF2O) or (CF2CF(CF3)O); X is F or CF3; and R4 and R5 are selected from the group containing Cl, perfluoro alkyl or H having C1-C4. A water solution composition comprises: (A) 1-60wt.%, preferably 15-25wt.% of chlorinated compound of the formula I; (B) 0.5-25wt.%, preferably 1-5wt.% of a solvent selected from the group containing alcohol, glycol and ether, preferably isopropanol, ethanol, methanol, t-butanol, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol; and (C) 100 of water as a supplementation.
