PURPOSE: A synthetic method of arylsulfur pentafluoride is provided to improve the production yield, purity and process safety and to reduce production cost, without requiring an extensive purifying process. CONSTITUTION: The synthetic method of arylsulfur pentafluoride represented by the formula 3 comprises: blending at least one arylsulfur fluorides represented by the formula 1a or 1b, with a fluorinating agent to react them partially and to obtain arylsulfur trifluoride products as an intermediate; and exposing the intermediate arylsulfur trifluoride products to the fluorinating agent with a fluoride source to react them at least partially and to obtain arylsulfur pentafluoride. In the formulas 1a, 1b and 3, R1, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, linear alkyl group having 1-18 numbers of carbon atoms, branched alkyl group having 3-18 numbers of carbon atoms, a cyclic alkyl group having 3-18 numbers of carbon atoms, aryl group having 6-30 numbers of carbon atoms, alkoxy group having 1-18 numbers of carbon atoms, NO2, perfluoroalkyl group having 1-18 numbers of carbon atoms, SF5, SO2F, or CN group, and R2 is hydrogen or halogen atoms.
