PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and low torque cam follower device at a low cost, to enhance performance of an engine, and to reduce a cost of the engine. SOLUTION: A pair of support wall parts 4, 4 are disposed to a rocker arm 3, and a support shaft 5 is disposed across the support wall parts 4, 4. A tappet roller 6a is rotatably supported by a radial needle bearing 7a around the support shaft 5. For the tappet roller 6a, a roller is used in a shape of a shell type outer ring where both ends of a cylindrical part 10 are bent inward in a radial direction to form a pair of inward flange parts 11a, 11b.
