PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress apparatus that can warm up an elastic layer hardened due to a temperature reduction by a user's body heat in a relatively short time when a low elasticity material is used for the elastic layer. SOLUTION: The mattress apparatus has a spring unit 1 having a first face and a second face, elastic layers 11 and 12 provided in the first and second faces of the spring unit and an outer covering cloth 21 covering the spring unit 1 and the elastic layers. At least one elastic layer 11 is formed of a plate-shaped low elasticity material and is composed of a plurality of blocks 14 arranged at prescribed intervals on one face of the spring unit 1.
