The apparatus (1) has a carrying belt (2) which is intertwined to two rotating axles (8,9) provided in an adjustment device (3). A bulge (14) is formed at the free end section (2a) of the carrying belt. The section of the carrying belt wrapped around the rotating axles remains within a provided gap (12) to ensure that the carrying belt is tightly held and remains in the adjustment device. The gap is formed between one rotating axle (8) and a bar (10), such that the gap has a clearing width corresponding to the total pile thickness of the carrying belt. The bar is arranged and extended parallel to the rotating axles, and assigned to the section of the carrying belt intertwined around the parallel axles. The carrying belt is intertwined around the rotating axles, such that automatic locking occurs due to the tensile load working on the carrying belt around the rotating axles.
