<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image processor and a processing method erasing a grid image from an X-ray image picked up using a grid. <P>SOLUTION: In a step S1, an offset correction image where no subject is disposed is obtained 4-16 times and cumulative values for every pixel are made to an image Wij. Sequentially, in a step S2, an average value A of the image central part is calculated from the accumulated image Wij. In a step S3, the accumulated image Wij is normalized using the average value A, and a gain image Sij, or a dispersion of gains of the respective pixels using a set reference value as a center, is obtained in a LOG conversion in the value of the average value A.
