MODULAR STORAGE LIBRARY WITH AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device where the setting of a mail slot of a data storage system can be changed in a short period of time.

SOLUTION: A modular storage system is provided with one or a plurality of storage modules, a moveable display connectable to the storage modules and a sensor that can detect the movement of the display. Each storing module is provided with one or a plurality of magazines which can hold a plurality of storage cartridges. Further, the modular storage system is provided with a controller for reconfigurating a state of the modular storage system in response to the detected movement of the display.
