摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module, an optical communication system, and an optical axis adjusting device in which a fine adjustment of an optical axis is easily conducted without deteriorating reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A multiplexer/demultiplexer module 1 is provided with a collimator 3a, a sub-base 6a and a base member 7a. The sub-base 6a has a first plate shaped member 61 and a second plate shaped member 62 and a cylindrical connecting member 66 which is used to connect the plate shaped members. The collimator 3a is fixed to the first plate shaped member 61. Through-holes 64 and 65 are provided on the members 61 and 62. Screws 9 are screwed into screw holes 72 of the base member 7a through the through-holes 64 and 65. By adjusting the screws 9, the relative angle between the members 61 and 62 is changed and the optical axis of the multiplexer/demultiplexer module 1 is finely adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
