PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission system for stably monitoring and controlling many amplifiers even when transmission paths for control data have a narrow band in the case of interconnecting the many amplifiers or the like via a network. SOLUTION: One node (signal transmission system) to which a controller (PC) is connected is provided with: a storage means for storing all of setting information items of a plurality of nodes; a reception means for receiving a change instruction of the setting information of any of the nodes from the controller; an instruction data transmission means for transmitting instruction data in line with the change instruction to other nodes without changing the setting information when the change instruction instructs the change of the setting information related to the other nodes than the signal transmission system; and a setting information update means for changing, when receiving change data denoting the change of the setting information in the other nodes, a corresponding part of the setting information stored in the storage means on the basis of the received change data.
