PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion service method and an image conversion device which provide an image conversion service for converting a format of image data to devices connected to a network. SOLUTION: The image conversion service method which provides the image conversion service for converting formats of image data which devices connected to the network have comprises; a format information providing step of providing format information including a format of convertible image data for a device; a conversion request reception step of receiving a request for conversion of the format of image data from the device; an image data acquisition step of acquiring the image data to be converted; an image data conversion step of converting the format of the image data; and a converted image data providing step of providing converted image data for the device.
