PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can improve the waiting time of the whole of the terminal. SOLUTION: When information or field intensity information is inputted from a base station in a waiting state, a radio circuit 5 outputs these information to a controller 4. The controller 4 processes the information or the field intensity information from the base station, and sends out the process result to a controller 3 for indicating the processed contents on a specific area of a display 2. The controller 3 indicates the process result of the controller 4 on the specific area of the display 2. For indicating the processed contents on another specific area of the display 2, the controller 4 does not send out the process result to the controller 3 but directly indicates it on the other specific area of the display 2.
