PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which enables a user to view high-quality images from the start of viewing by heating the liquid crystal display panel a predetermined time prior to the start time of broadcasting the program expected to be viewed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display which displays images on the liquid crystal display panel 3 having a liquid crystal layer and electrodes to apply data voltages on the liquid crystal layer is equipped with a heating means 4, 5 which memorize the program viewing pattern (history) and heat the liquid crystal display panel 3 a predetermined time prior to the start time of broadcasting the program expected to be viewed based on the program viewing pattern.
