GROOVING METHOD FOR CERAMIC THRUST PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost grooving method for a ceramic thrust plate capable of easily forming a dynamic pressure generating groove having excellent abrasion resistance in a surface of a ceramic board to be used as a thrust plate in a dynamic fluid bearing. SOLUTION: A polishing surface of the ceramic board 26 is printed with paste 28 of a sintered material in parts except a part corresponding to a target groove pattern to form a groove forming projecting part pattern 30. Thereafter, baking is performed to form the groove pattern (dynamic pressure generating groove 22) corresponding to the groove forming projecting part pattern. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
