PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a spur gear 6C formed in an element gear 6 of a vehicular differential gear device. SOLUTION: A spool gear 6B is formed in a central part of the element gear 6, and the spur gear 6C is formed in both end parts. When trying to enlarge a tooth width of this spur gear 6C, the tooth width of an addendum part cannot be expanded, since a tool interferes with an end part of the spool gear 6B, when cutting a hob. Then, a lower side part than a pitch circle 6F is expanded to the spool gear 6B side, and only the tooth width of a deddendum part 6Ca is increased. This part becomes an incomplete gear area 6H, and does not interfer with a meshing area 6J, so that strength can be improved without the functional problem of the gear. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
