PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method of gas diffusion electrodes which enables long-term electrolytic operation without leakage from a joint between the gas diffusion electrodes. SOLUTION: When joining the gas diffusing electrodes 1 each having a conductor 2 embedded therein, an alkali-resistant sheet material 6 is contacted to the joint between the gas diffusion electrodes and bonded using an alkali-resistant resin liquid 7.
