PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at a low cost a pre-plated steel sheet which has a gold-metallic mode appearance similar to that of colored stainless steel, prevents red rust, even when scratched, and has a designability and a sacrificial corrosion preventive effect. SOLUTION: The gold-metallic plated steel sheet is a double-plated steel sheet having a Zn-Co-W plating layer containing≥0.1% Co and≥1% W or a Zn-Co-Mo plating layer containing≥0.1% Co and≥1% Mo with a coating weight of≥1 g/m<SP>2</SP>on a Zn-electroplated layer having a coating weight of≥3 g/m<SP>2</SP>. The surface of the double-plating layer has a glossiness in terms of G value of≥100 and a surface roughness in terms of Ra of≤0.3μm. On the double-plating layer, the steel sheet has a clear or gold-metallic, organic after-treatment film, an organic coating or a laminate film. In a production method of the steel sheet, the double-plated steel sheet is subjected to skin-pass rolling with a rolling reduction ratio of≥0.5%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
