PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection speed for liquid droplet discharging nozzles where a dot omission is caused. SOLUTION: In the inspection method and inspecting device for liquid droplet discharging nozzles, sampling of liquid droplets is started according to a timing whereby the liquid droplet discharging nozzles discharge the liquid droplets (steps S103 and S104). In an analysis of sampling data (step S107), the presence of the dot omission can be detected by checking whether or not a consecutive L signal corresponding to the dot omission is present in the sampled data. In the case where the dot omission is present (step S108: Yes), a dot omission flag FF is turned ON (step S109). In the case where the dot omission is present (step S108: No), it is detected whether or not the dot omission is present at liquid droplet discharging nozzles of both ends (step S111).
