PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersant capable of stably dispersing a variety of pigments and scarcely deteriorating the physical properties of a dried coating and to provide a stable pigment composition and pigment dispersion excellent in the non-agglomeration property and fluidity and suitable for offset ink, gravure ink, a painting material, and inkjet ink. SOLUTION: The pigment dispersant comprises a grafted vinyl polymer-polyethylene imine composed of a vinyl polymer obtained by copolymerization of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a functional group reactive with an amino group and another ethylenic unsaturated monomer and polyethylene imine chemically bonded with the vinyl polymer. The pigment composition contains the pigment dispersant and a pigment and the pigment dispersion contains the pigment dispersant and a pigment both dispersed in a liquid medium.
