PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid supply device which can obtain a desired flow rate in a short time when liquid supply to a die head is interrupted, when the joint of a web passes through the tip of the die head, and the liquid supply to the die head is reopened after the passage. SOLUTION: A three-way valve 17 is set in the vicinity of the die head 3 of supply piping 8 having a pump 9 for supplying a coating liquid from a liquid tank 7 to the die head 3, and circulating piping 15 is divided. The coating liquid is returned to the tank 7 by the circulating piping 15, and a pressure adjustment valve 18 is installed in the piping 15. When liquid supply to the die head 3 is interrupted, the pump is not stopped, the valve 17 is changed over to circulate the coating liquid from the supply piping 8 to the circulating piping 15, the pressure in the supply piping is adjusted to be equal to that when the coating liquid is steadily supplied to the die head 3 by the valve 18. When coating is reopened, the valve 17 is changed over to supply the coating liquid to the die head 3 so that the flow rate of the coating liquid supplied to the die head is stabilized in a short time.
