PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly read out blood sugar value by loading an electrode to start the operation and select a function, counting the time for a predetermined time, making a decision whether a transfer is made to other process in the way of operation, and reading out a blood sugar value being measured and stored upon the lapse of a predetermined time with no transfer to other process. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 50 recognizes insertion of an electrode 45 for measuring blood sugar value into the connector 3 of a convenient blood sugar meter 1 and begins to implement the blood sugar value measuring function. Measurement numbers and working curve numbers are presented alternately on arm LCD display 2 and the CPU 50 begins to count the time for about 1min. During 1 min, a decision is made whether the resistance has varied abruptly due to adhesion of blood to the electrode 45 and the blood sugar value is measured if the resistance has varied abruptly. If no blood adheres to the electrode 45 within about 1min, the CPU 50 reads out past measurement data of blood sugar value from a RAM 70 and presents the data on the display 2 along with the memory number. This constitution makes it possible to smoothly read out blood sugar value data using a blood sugar meter 1 having no operating button. |
