PURPOSE:To provide the variable oscillator wide in the frequency variable range and simple in configuration. CONSTITUTION:Only when the variable reproducing speed is higher than m-fold speed, a switching means 50 is made active. When the switching means 50 is not active, the frequency is varied by using an LC element at the main body of a variable oscillator 20. When obtaining any frequency exceeding this frequency variable range, a frequency variable range extension circuit 32 is operated. When the switching means 50 is set in the active state and travelled forward, the oscillation frequency is lowered at that time by inserting auxiliary capacitors Ca and Cb by switching the device into a figure shown by broken lines. Thus, the lower limit valie of the oscillation frequency is extended. When the means 50 is travelled backward, it is switched into a figure shown by real lines, and an auxiliary inductance Lc is inserted. Thus, the oscillation frequency is increased, and the upper limit value of the oscillation frequency is extended. |
