PURPOSE: Ink-jet recording medium is provided by altering composition of fixing agent with function of increasing water-proof ability or fixing ability for images formed by direct dye or acidic dye containing carboxyl group or sulfonic group to eliminate drawback of unevenness of colors and to give clear color images and good ink absorbtion ability. CONSTITUTION: The ink-jet recording medium comprises a substrate layer and an ink-receiving layer containing a mixture of two or more fixing agents represented by the following formula(1) (wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl group, R2, R3, R4 are independently hydrogen or alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, a+b=1, 0<=a<1, 0<b<=1, X is halogen element or CH3CH2SO4). Such fixing agent is a mixture of a first fixing agent having 0<=a<=0.05 in the formula(1) and another fixing agent having 0.05<a<1 in the formula(1). The fixing agent is preferably contained in the ink-receiving layer by 1-30wt.%.
