<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system capable of reporting the free capacity of a storage means after erasing musical piece data to be erased from musical piece data already stored in a storage means before actually erasing the musical piece data, and surely preventing the erroneous erasure of the musical piece data as the result. <P>SOLUTION: The onboard audio device 1 is provided with: a flash memory 31; a DSP 22 for storing musical piece data in the folder of the flash memory; a storage driving control part 61; and a control part 68 for selecting musical piece data to be erased from the folder and erasing the musical piece data to be erased from the folder when detecting an erasure instruction. The onboard audio device 1 is further provided with: a spare capacity calculating part 71 for, when the musical piece data to be erased are selected, calculating spare data amounts in the flash memory when the musical piece data to be erased are erased; a residual time calculating part 72 for calculating a residual scheduled time based on the spare data capacity; and an announcement driving control part 67 for displaying the residual scheduled time as a residual scheduled time after the erasure of the musical piece data to be erased at an LCD display part 53 before the musical piece data are erased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
