<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively realize a jump to a time point desired to reproduce by a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: In accordance with operation such as reproduction start and reproduction stop in a plurality of terminals 1, 2, 3, ..., a reproducing situation recording part 23 records on a recording medium the reproducing situation including the operation classes and corresponding times. A reproducing block extracting part 25 extracts ordinary reproducing blocks on contents in accordance with the reproducing situation. An indexing part 26 generates index information with indexes added to each pieces of leading position information to perform the jump operation to a leading position of each ordinary reproducing block. A ranking part 27 takes statistics of the reproducing blocks and ranks the indexes in the index information so that the jump operation to the leading position of a block which is reproduced by the most terminals has priority.
