PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device constituted so that a toner-fixed recording material is surely separated from a heating roller or a pressure roller while preventing the heat roller or the pressure roller from wearing, and the recording material can be stably carried, and also, which is made usable over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a separation rotating roller 21 which is rotated in the same direction as that of the fixing roller 1 and which is made in a non-contact state with the fixing roller 1, and the separation rotating roller 21 is installed and positioned so as to come into contact with the leading end of the recording paper P wound around the fixing roller 1. Besides, an air duct 30 is arranged inside the separation rotating roller 21, the air is sprayed on the recording paper P from between blade parts 25 through the air blast blast mouth 30a and the air blast mouth 24a of the air duct 30.
