PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact coagulator/settler where treated water of constant quality is obtained even when raw water fluctuates. SOLUTION: The coagulator/settler for treating raw water containing a flocculant that comprises a flocculation section to form flock, a settling section to settle the flock and produce the treated water allowable to be discharged, a partition plate to part into the flocculation section and the settling section and an opening at the bottom of the partition plate is characterized by being equipped with a floating flock recovering pump to transfer the floating flock in the settling section to the flocculation section for further flocculation.
