PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for contaminated soil for performing purification of the soil swifter than the purification of an original ground as it is. SOLUTION: In this cleaning method for contaminated soil, a casing pipe 41 is buried around contaminated soil 11, a water collecting pipe 50 having an opening at the lower part is inserted into the casing pipe 41, and a stage in which, in a state where water in the water collecting pipe 50 is pumped while sucking air in the water collecting pipe 50, the water is fed to the contaminated soil 11 and boiling is generated to perform cleaning, is repeatedly performed every time the water collecting pipe 50 is lowered along the inside of the casing pipe 41. By feeding a large quantity of the water to the contaminated soil 11, the boiling is generated, and the contaminated soil 11 can be stirred and cleaned. Further, since the water in the water collecting pipe 50 is pumped while sucking the air in the water collecting pipe 50, the discharge of the water can efficiently be performed, so that the water can largely be fed to reduce the work period.
