The invention relates to a system for cleaning the outer face (14e) of an essentially-vertical window panel of a motor vehicle (10), comprising a hydrophilic coating and a photocatalytic-type active coating which are applied to the outer vertical face (14e) of said window panel. The inventive system comprises a device (18) which is used to spray a cleaning liquid (20) towards at least part of the outer face (14e) of the window panel (14) and which comprises at least one set of several nozzles (22). According to the invention, cleaning liquid can be supplied to the aforementioned spray device (18) by means of a pipe (36) which also supplies a device (38) which is used to spray cleaning liquid (20) on a window (44) of an obstacle-detection device (40).
