An article of therapeutic knitwear, e.g. socks, stockings (10) or pantyhose, has an electrically conducting zone in contact with the skin, especially in the region of the calf, thigh or foot. The conducting zone is made by incorporating an electrically conducting weft or base yarn that is connected to the terminal of an electromyostimulation generator (12). The conducting yarn is made e.g. from a covered wire of silver, gold, copper or charged polymers. |
