PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile station used for a short-range radio transmission system capable of sequentially resetting reception sensitivity by using a means for making the least number of setting times in setting the reception sensitivity of the mobile station. SOLUTION: The mobile station is used in the short-range radio transmission system having the mobile station equipped on a moving object and a base station fixedly arranged near a passing route of the mobile station, and performing transmission/reception of communication information in radio between the mobile station and the base station when the moving object equipped with the mobile station comes close to the base station. Upon receiving communication prediction information to be transmitted by radio from the base station first, the mobile station sets the sensitivity of receiving circuits 7, 8 at the lowest sensitivity value to receive main communication information. If the main communication information cannot be regularly received, the mobile station receives the main communication information while resetting the reception sensitivity of the receiving circuits 7, 8 at a successively higher value until the mobile station can regularly receive it.
