PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel suspending device for a motorcycle capable of easily performing switching operation when a pair of right and left shock absorbers are provided and capable of restraining increase of a number of parts. SOLUTION: In the rear wheel suspending device for the motorcycle equipped with the shock absorber 20 having a damper 20a and a spring mechanism 20b arranged so as to surround the damper 20a, the shock absorber 20 is arranged on right and left side parts of a vehicle body frame 2 respectively, a cam (adjusting mechanism) 30 for adjusting a characteristic of the shock absorber 20 is provided on the respective shock absorbers 20, an operation part 50 for operating one of the cams 30 from the outside is provided, the right and left cams 30 are connected by a steering force transmitting member 40 for transmitting operation by the operation member 50 to the other cam 30, and the operation force transmitting member 40 is arranged so as to pass through a seat rail 8 by which the shock absorber 20 is connected and supported and a seat bottom plate 56.
