PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for classifying/gathering eggs in which a change from one lot of eggs to another lot of eggs can be carried out smoothly in a short time by altering arrangements whenever the work of grading one lot of eggs and gathering one grade of eggs in one corresponding gathering section is completed. SOLUTION: This apparatus for classifying/gathering eggs is constituted so that the lot change from one lot of eggs to another lot of eggs is detected, the lot to be classified is classified, whether the work of gathering one grade of eggs included in the lot to be classified in the prescribed gathering section is completed is calculated on the basis of the classification information on ungathered eggs which are conveyed on a conveying route and are included in the lot to be classified/gathered at present and a gather completing signal is outputted when the work of gathering one grade of eggs in the prescribed gathering section is completed.
