PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for mixing a particle imparting kinetic energy to a material itself and capable of efficiently carrying out diffusion/mixing, and a mixing apparatus. SOLUTION: A drum container capable of storing two kinds or more of particle is subjected to revolution motion and force including a direction component for denying gravity received by the particle is periodically generated on the particle by the revolution motion. Rotation of the drum container is suppressed to mix the particle. Therefore, the kinetic energy is imparted to the material itself and the diffusion/mixing can be efficiently carried out.
