PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sponge pump which realizes a pump function with a thin and simple structure to be effectively operated for forcibly ventilating the narrow inner part of a shoe, etc., and to provide a method for easily manufacturing the sponge pump. SOLUTION: Elasticity and property for discharging/sucking gas in extension/contraction which are provided to sponge, cylindrically superimposed thin sheets and flat air intake and air releasing valves are combined to achieve the function of the thin and small pump to which repetitive extending/contracting movement is given by walking.
