<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more efficient cleaning method for contaminated soil. <P>SOLUTION: In the cleaning method for contaminated soil, a water shielding wall 12 surrounding the circumference of contaminated soil 11 is buried in a foundation 10, vibration of high-frequency is applied to the contaminated soil 11, and further, the contaminated soil 11 is stirred with a high pressure jet, so that contaminants are peeled from soil particles in the contaminated soil 11 and can be removed into washing water, and the contaminated soil 11 can efficiently be cleaned. Further, the range surrounded by the water shielding wall 12 is used as a precipitation tank 13, and sand components, iron oxide, colloids made insoluble, or the like, can be precipitated into the tank 13. Thus, the time and labor of removing the sand components, iron oxide, colloids made insoluble, or the like, with a filter, or the like, can be reduced.
