<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively, simply and efficiently manufacture a piezo-electric transducing composite material showing sufficient piezo-electricity and suitably usable in various fields as a damping material, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing this piezo-electric composite material includes at least a fine piece forming step of forming the fine piece of a piezo-electric transducer formed of a piezo-electric transducing material containing a principal chain type liquid crystal polymer, and a coating step of coating a fine piece dispersed solution in which the fine pieces are dispersed in a matrix solution. The principal chain type liquid crystal polymer contain a basic skeleton including at least a cyclic group as a repeating unit. It is preferable a mode in which the principal chain type liquid crystal polymer is at least one type selected from among polyesters, a mode in which the principal chain type liquid crystal polymer is selected from among aromatic polymers and a scope in which the aromatic polymer is at least one type selected from among aromatic polyesters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
