<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotary electric machine for vehicle combining a magnetic field of a field winding and a magnetic field of a permanent magnet in which overcharge is eliminated in a high speed rotational region. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine for vehicle comprises an armature core 3 having an armature winding 2 for charging a vehicle mounted battery with the output voltage and forming a stator core 1, rotor cores 16 and 17 arranged on the inner diameter side of the armature core 3 through a specified air gap and consisting of pole parts 16b and 17b where adjacent poles are formed into claw-poles of different polarities and tubular parts 16a and 17a having a field winding 18, and a permanent magnet 22 provided in the magnetic circuit of the rotor cores 16 and 17 and supplying flux to the armature core 3 together with the field winding 18. Magnetizing force of the permanent magnet 22 for the armature core 3 is set such that the output voltage from the armature winding 2 immediately after the maximum magnetizing force by the field current is returned back to zero does not exceed the charging voltage of the battery at a specified rotational speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
