<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car radar duplexing arrangement with an improved transmitting/receiving switcher. <P>SOLUTION: The car radar duplexing arrangement for permitting a single antenna to transmit and receive electromagnetic radiation, comprises a circular waveguide (6), a waveguide coupling arrangement for coupling energy between two conductive lines (13, 14) and said circular waveguide (6), wherein said two conductive lines comprise mutually orthogonal conductors disposed perpendicularly with respect to the waveguide axis, and each extending through a respective aperture in the wall of said waveguide, a polarizer (20) disposed within the waveguide for conversion of linear waves into circular waves and vice-versa, and an antenna feed (23) in communication with the polarizer (20) to transmit and receive rotational waves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
