PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety confirmation device capable of confirming safety of a target person inside a private room or the like with high accuracy while considering privacy of the target person. SOLUTION: This safety confirmation device has: first and second cameras 3, 4 disposed on a ceiling of the private room 1 such as a toilet, each picking up an image inside the private room; a movement sensor 5 for detecting presence/absence of movement of an object inside the private room 1; a shape extraction means 12 for extracting three-dimensional shape with the movement inside the private room by stereo matching and private room initial shape on the basis of the images by the first and second cameras 3, 4; a shape monitoring means 13 for monitoring magnitude of a ratio of the three-dimensional shape inside the private room 1 extracted by the shape extraction means 12 to the private room initial shape; a clocking means 14 for starting clocking on the basis of a signal of the movemenr absence from the movement sensor 5; and a buzzer 7 for raising an alarm. On the basis of a clocking signal for a prescribed time by the buzzer 7 and a signal of a large ratio of the three-dimensional shape inside the private room 1 from the shape monitoring means 13 to the private room initial shape, the alarm meaning abnormality of the target person is raised by the buzzer 7.
