PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power device for a low-floor railway rolling stock capable of solving a problem that an electric motor for power is arranged in the middle of independent wheels on the front and rear of a bogie as it is directly installed on the bogie and drives the independent wheels on the front and rear of the bogie and that a distance between axles of the front and rear wheels cannot be reduced. SOLUTION: It is possible to provide this power device for the low-floor railway rolling stock as a part of barrier free movement by communicating the electric motor with a decelerator mounted on a body and a gear system mounted on the bogie to each other with a universal joint with a spline and additionally connecting this gear system and another gear system on the same bogie to each other with the universal joint with the spline.
