PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strong adhesion vapor deposition film obtained by providing a vapor deposition membrane layer comprising an inorganic oxide on a bese material film, enhanced in the adhesion of the base material film constituting the vapor deposition film with the vapor deposition membrane layer and capable of being effectively put to practical use in a packaging field for food, non-food and pharmaceuticals, especially in a packaging field requiring heating sterilization such as retort sterilization or the like, and a packaging material using it. SOLUTION: In the strong adhesion vapor deposition film obtained by providing at least the vapor deposition membrane layer comprising the inorganic oxide on the base material film, a polyester film is used as the base material film and the crystallizing degree of the surface of the base material film, on which the vapor deposition membrane layer is provided, is set to 30% or below.
