PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette carrying type machining method which can shorten a cycle time from the carrying-in of a work before machining and to the carrying-out of the work after machining, and a machining device therefor. SOLUTION: The cassette carrying type machining device 1 has a pair of a first punch 21 and a second punch 22 for machining the work and a cassette 4 for holding the work which is capable of advancing/retreating between both punches 21, 22. The cassette 4 is so constituted that it advances between both punches 21, 22 while holding the work before machining, which is machined next time, and supplies the work before machining to the second punch 22, and at the same time, it receives the work 52 after machining, which is machined last time, and retreats from between both punches 21, 22 while holding the work 52 after machining.
