PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus which can improve washing properties and curtail a washing time. SOLUTION: A paint extruder 40 which extrudes a quantitative amount of a coating to the coating gun 10 of the coating apparatus 1 has a cylinder 41 for extrusion and a piston 42 for extrusion having two O-rings 42b, 42c which can slide watertightly in the inside of the cylinder 41. An expansion part 41a having an inside diameter larger than the outside diameter of a front O ring 42a and an injection hole 41b to which washing air and a washing liquid are supplied are formed at the tip part of the cylinder 41. When the piston 42 is positioned at an advance limit position, a front O ring 42b makes the inside of the cylinder 41 be in a non-watertight state by the expansion part 41a, and a rear O ring 42c maintains the inside of the cylinder 41 in a watertight state.
