PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove sludge from contaminated service water resources mainly originating in artificial contamination by simple purification equipment and simple operation and to consume the resultant water for private use as drinking water, or, in the case of industrial waste water, to exhibit preferable removal effect corresponding to wide contamination species in the range from a small amount of water to a medium amount of water by simple operation. SOLUTION: In this purification equipment, composite mineral powder blended in the consideration of exhibiting wide adsorption-solidification properties particularly to different contamination species to be removed is adopted as a flocculant. The equipment is a simple one provided with a sludge removing function suitable for industrial waste water particularly different in contamination sources.
