PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and device for a plasma display panel which not only makes a single scan possible by reducing a discharge delay but also can stabilize a sustain discharge by widening a driving margin and facilitates the adjustment of a barrier charge. SOLUTION: The driving method and device for the plasma display panel comprise supplying a first rising ramp waveform at which the voltage rises to a first electrode during a first section of a reset period to form the barrier charge on the tops of an upper plate and lower plate, then supplying a second rising ram waveform at which the voltage rises to a second electrode during a second period of the reset period to erase a part of the barrier charge formed on the upper electrode and supplying a falling ramp waveform at which the voltage falls to the first electrode and the second electrode so as to erase a part of the barrier charge formed on the upper electrode and the barrier charge formed on the lower electrode.
