PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize at least one of evasion of cutting-off of a boundary line, smooth scroll display or reduction of manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This map data output system comprises: an external storing device 3 which stores a plurality of boundary line data Da formed by grouping a plurality of terminal point positional data showing the terminal point position of the boundary line so that boundary lines of respective sections can be specified, for each given map outline unit, and which stores multiple boundary line attribute data Db formed by grouping sectional data capable of specifying at least respective addresses of two adjacent sections, being correlated with the boundary lines of the two sections, for each given map outline unit; and a control part 8 which forms and outputs map data Dc by virtually plotting the boundary lines on the basis of the terminal point positional data, specifying addresses of respective sections sectioned by the plotted boundary lines on the basis of the section data, and virtually plotting a character string expressing the addresses by correlating it with the section.
