PURPOSE: A fixing device of a battery is provided to easily install the battery in a narrow space by using a rack and a pinion gear. CONSTITUTION: A battery(1) is loaded in a battery tray(7). A varying portion(5) is interlocked with the size of the battery by installing in the tip of the battery tray. A fixing portion(3) fixes the battery by installing in the rear part of the battery tray. A preventing device of a terminal separation(31) prevents the separation of a battery terminal by installing in the terminal when external force is transferred. A control unit(10) operates the fixing portion and the preventing device of the terminal separation by connecting with the fixing portion and the preventing device of the terminal separation and detecting the transmission of the external force. Thereby, the battery is installed in a narrow space easily.
