<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR device enhanced in safety by preventing the abnormal pressure rise of an EGR cooler regarding the EGR device for a diesel engine. <P>SOLUTION: A bypass passage bypassing the EGR cooler is connected between an EGR pipe on the EGR gas upper reaches and the EGR pipe on the EGR gas lower reaches of the EGR cooler, or between the EGR pipe on the EGR gas upper reaches of the EGR cooler and an engine intake system. A selector valve is mounted to a branch part between the bypass passage and the EGR pipe on the EGR gas upper reaches. A manometer is mounted to the EGR gas upper reaches of the selector valve, and a thermometer is mounted to a refrigerant lead-out port of the EGR cooler. A control means performs opening/closing control of the selector valve to bypass EGR gas to the bypass passage when the detection value of either one of the manometer and thermometer reaches a predetermined set value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
