PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a toothed belt excellent in driving resistance, responsiveness and tooth-skip durability in comparison with a current one (a rubber belt and a thermosetting polyurethane elastomer belt), and furthermore, a toothed belt, from which resin is hard to ooze out to a toothed belt surface through stitches of canvas and which is hard to be a molding of bad quality. SOLUTION: This toothed belt 1 is provided with a main body part formed from a thermoplastic elastomer, a core as a tensile body, and the canvas for covering the toothed surface of the belt. This toothed belt 1 is manufactured by forming a pre-mold of the thermoplastic elastomer, fitting the canvas, the core and the pre-mold to a molding die, pressing and heating it from outside, and furthermore, heating from inside the mold for a certain time at the temperature higher than the crystalization point and less than the melting point of the thermoplastic elastomer.
