PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motion picture processing apparatus that can be obtained by utilizing an inexpensive personal computer. SOLUTION: There is provided the motion picture processing apparatus equipped with an image/sound capture 4 for multiplexing image data and voice data that are inputted to create a motion picture file at every predetermined time; a RAM disc 6 that stores the motion picture files, and further, when the number of stored motion picture files has reached a predetermined storage number, stores the file so that older motion picture files are overwritten in order; a motion picture data processor 7 that retrieves, after a trigger input and from the RAM disc 6, a plurality of the motion picture files that are stored before and after a trigger input and then combines and compresses the motion picture files to create the compressed motion picture files, and a recording medium 9 for recording the created and compressed motion picture files. In the motion picture processing apparatus, the image/sound capture section 4, the RAM disc 6, the motion picture data processor 7, and recording medium 9 can be constituted by using hardware and software of the inexpensive personal computer 3.
